    coolant temp gauge sender

What is the output of this thing suppose to look like? I put an ohmmeter on it and it read 273ohm then OFL switching about every second. engine warm meter from connector to ground. If some other folks could do the same thing so I can see if my is good that would be great. Thanks

The coolant temp sensor for the gauge is a low resistance type and its resistance valve decreases with an increase in temperature (negative thermal coefficient). I don't know what you mean by "OFL switching" (is that Office of Freight Logistics, Open Fill Level, Out For Lunch?), but normal resistance at operating temperature is in the few hundred ohm range as I recall.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

OFL overflow or more that 10 megaohm resistance sorry but sound like i have a bad sender base on what you said there

If you see the resistance vary dramatically, and you are making good contact to the sensor and ground, then I'd say that you have a bad sensor.
