Eta radiator in a i?

My friend is in desperate need of a radiator for his 89 320i. The only one that I can find is out of a 86 eta. Will this work for the time being until I can find one out of an i?

i dont think so. in 88 they switched the pickup sides. the lower hose went from the driver side over to the passenger side and vise versa
