Clueless, completely, 325es bottom end+325is head and ECU (?)

Hello iverybody ( doctor nic )
So rumor goes, i take a 325es bottom end, crank, connecting rods, pistons, everyting and slap on a 325is head, with the is manifold, ecu, throttle body, etc.
What kind of gains would i be looking at? What then becomes of displacement, it grows, it diminishes, what? I mean, does this in theory mean, i get better head flow or effecient surface? ps. which injectors... etc.
Sorry, i know there are tons and tons of threads on the subject, but head codes and everything to me right now is japanese, and i donèt speak japanese, so if someone can give me the proper stroker build run down, that would be awesome, and if boosting this same combination later is possible.
Tnax a million, hate to be repetitive.

That would be a "budget" stroker. It will make more power than an M20B27, but less than that of an M20B25 due to lower compression. The displacement will remain 2.7l. Swapping pistons will raise the compression ratio and result in an engine that makes more power than an M20B25. At least this is what I've been told.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

yes, pistons from an '88 s-eta are needed. Better yet, the whole block/rotating assembly

one is just a sports package 325is, one isn't NO difference in engine or anything engine wise, although differentials are different I think?

lol but the engine is the same in either model.

There is a decent thread on here complete with dyno sheets, for the basic I top end on ETA bottom. This is how my engine is setup currently, looking to go turbo sometime in the future. It moves the car pretty decently, per the old butt dyno. I still have the 2.93 LSD, not sure I want to ditch that just yet.

the 325es or 325e is known as the eta, whilst the seta was the db equipped 2.5litre hybrid between the both, right?--

the '88 s-eta was a 2.7 hybrid that acted much like a regular eta stock, but can be easily upgraded with 2.5i parts to act more like an "i"... a 180hp "i".

What if one were to take an ETA crank and rods PLUS "I" pistons and "i" top end components. I currently have an m20b25 daily driven cabby, and have access to plenty of dead eta's in a local salvage yard. best scenario ? What's the diff between the SETA pistons and I pistons?

Rod to Deck height. The "i" pistons are intended for use with the 135 mm "i" rods, where as the SETA pistons are designed for the 130 mm "e" rods. When you consider the difference between the 75mm and 81mm crank the "i" pistons with the "e" rods sit too low in the block. (I believe that the difference is about 2mm in deck height.)

From the standpoint of the piston design, the top of both are almost identical, being designed for the 885 "i" head.

Can i turbo a 2.7 bottom end and 2.5 top? (we should name this swap something like the m20b27.A)
