    Revvvvvvv-------- flaaaaaaaaaaaat

1990 325 m20b25. Pulls great right up to 3800 then the power delivery just dies and goes flat, except for a few blips of power then pulls a lil bit right before red line. Definately suspect a fuel delivery / fuel management issue. Any ideas or common culprits?

try new air filter, then new fuel filter, then check your rotor/cap?

Has concial filter , need to look into fuel filter. Cap and rotor are still good.. show SOME wear but not bad- checked when i did T-belt last time bnout a month or 2 ago. Prolly change fuel filter later this weekend. Looking for other possibilities... all ideas are welcome.

My vote is for the fuel filter as well- it's probably still on the original.

if the filter is open to the engine bay it could be hot air

That sounds like either a fuel delivery problem (clogged filter, dying pump, or bad FPR) or a problem with the AFM.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If all the usual suspects are checked (fuel pressure and vollume, secondary ignition etc)and found to be fine it could be a clogged catalyst.

DMEs can fail and do weird stuff as well.

My old l-jet had this same problem, replaced cap, rotor, plug leads, plugs, fuel filter, air filter, adjusted timing but still had the same flat power band feeling (but ran better anyway) replaced the FPR and it eliminated the flat spot.

Dunno if you have replaced all that shit but generally I'd think a proper tune up like what I did will leave you with pleasing results (minus distributor adjustment of coarse.)
