    cold start valve (injector)

Ok so the BMW im looking at (1987 325) is not running because of a cold start valve/injector. The guy who ownes it took it out, so the car wont start till something gets put back in, atleast thats what he tells me. He also says that the part is between 150 and 180 new and that he is trying to find a used one but cant. I think i have a lead on a used one, and if so i will be going to look at the car tonight with the part to see if i can get it going.

Question is, can you clean the old one and make it work? If so how do you do that.

Next question is what makes this part stop working? Did something else fail which made this fail and theres actually multiple things i have to fix?

Final question is how do i elliminate this part? I know that the I cars from 87 up dont have this cold start, so if i do an e to i hybrid, can i elimintae it that way?

    Thanks for the info

The car will start without the cold start valve working, it might require a little more cranking but it will start.

The valve needs to be physically present or you'll have a massive vacuum leak.
