fan, regular fan, no clutch, not electric, no switch mod

Before I get flamed for not searching, I did for over an hour.

My clutch fan is cooked. I don't care about hp and just want a cheap replacement. Has anyone just put on a normal fan on the water pump?

I see lots of threads on replacing the clutch, modding the front fan with another switch, and going to an electric fan, but nothing on a regular fan.

Just looking for info on this. Any suggestions, info, etc.

Because of the way the fan on an M20 hooks to the water pump it likely you will NOT find a direct drive fan.

Ditto. The fan clutch has a large diameter left hand metric thread that attaches to the end of the water pump. This is very unconventional in terms of aftermarket domestic stuff. If you really want to spend a lot of money & time you could get a low profile electric fan. Otherwise visit fap99.com and pickup a new fan clutch or fan blades. You'll also need a large thin wrench to get at the fan clutch. Can't remember the size but I'm sure you can find it on a search.

no, you can't

I got sick of the stock fan getting in the way of every bit of work I tried to do so I replaced it with 2 10 inch electric ones on the radiator. they look great on the new radiator I got and they work even better. they're very powerful. you can get them at your local autozone (I'd know, I work there) part number is 733670. I can take pictures or a running video of it just let me know

32mm or aprox. 1-1/4" in size for the nut diameter.

Yeah, but make sure you run the car without the hood on while doing this, and maybe you can actually get the fan to spin off and fly to another dimension....

why? its not going to spin any faster than when the clutch is engaged.
