    Wtf wire?

I searched and searched, I promise. I noticed this randomly unplugged wire in my engine bay this morning. It stems off of the #6 spark plug wire, although it's just connected by a rubber ring it seems--not spliced. I couldn't find it on R3V or in the Bentley, but I found it (unlabeled) on a RealOEM diagram. This one:

Anyone? This plug must have a home somewhere?

Someone correct me if I am wrong or don't explain this right. This wire sends an ignition pulse. It route across the engine and plugs up right under the diagnostic plug, the same place as the crank position sensor. I forget where it leads to but I am thinking to the DME. My car isn't here for me to go look at. That wire is why our pulg wire cost like $30 more than eta wires.

Yes, you were correct. Thank you very much. Car revs smoother already (unless it's mental of course)

The engine probably does run smoother. That wire provides the cylinder ID signal to the DME, which is used to time fuel injection. Without that signal the DME defaults to parallel firing of all injectors rather than timed injection.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
