A couple of quick questions.... To those of you who are running the Miller MAF conversion, is it worth it? I hear some talk about waste spark ignition.... I did a search on it and it seems rather involved. Is it worth the effort?

Search harder there are several testimonials from people who have done it. You don't gain much in power, most of the benefit is the much better throttle response. You will notice the difference alot more if other significant mods such as porting, exhaust work and a tall cam are added, all in all from what I've read the cost doesn't cover the power gain you get so unless you can get a smoking deal it isn't worth it. This isn't fisrt hand experience just what I've read on here.

I just did the conversion, but it hasn't left the garage yet. For me, it was cost effective. I needed a new AFM and wanted a performance chip. So compared to a new AFM and a good chip, I thought the price was good. I will update when I finish some other stuff and get some wheel time.
** update ** I ran it over to the alignment shop and back (about 1 mile) and it is real nice. definite improvement in throttle response and mid range power.
I am having some idle issues, but they are just slight exaggerations of the problems I had before the swap. And I still haven't gone far enough for the ecu to adjust.Last edited by free; 04-01-2009, 07:12 PM.
