no start after ecu removal

So... pulled the ecu from the 85 325e to install performance chip. Wrong chip or right chip, old ecu. Seems we'll need to update the ecu. Its too old. Meanwhile after reinstall of said ecu. Car won't start. We have crank and all but no turnover. Checked fuel relay and pump seem fine. Any ideas? Started and ran perfectly before. Thanks sent from hell using tapatalk

All I can think of is to re-check your work to make sure every thing is connected properly, particularly the EPROM.
Make sure that it's plugged in the right way and its firmly seated in the socket with no bent pins.
