    painted intake manifold

Last picture was taken today in better light after I sanded, shined, and polished the top part to make the logo stick out. The first ones are more what the color actually looks like. They're all taken on the iPhone so it sucks. I'll be doing the same with the valve cover once my rebuilt head comes in a few days. I'll take a picture in a week or so once it's running to show a final pic. All I did for this was clean it, do a light coat of high temp black, bake it at 400 degrees, repaint a heavy coat, and rebake it at 400 again until it smoked from the inside. Once it cooled and dried overnight, I tested it to make sure it was alright. It's holding up great and doesn't give into chemicals.

Clean up the center a touch more and it will look alot cleaner. Very nice though.

I had mind bead blasted or sand blaster(whatever they had) at a machine shop when they resurface my head. It came back looking like fresh aluminum. I sprayed it with clear and it gave it a little darker look. I dont have a pic of it and it is not put together yet. I like yours.
What is that where the AC compressor goes?

          your VC looks like AH
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

The A/C bracket is some cool adapter deal I found to get rid of the shitty stock compressor and fit a Sanden. It's a nicely made cast aluminum piece with some laser-cut steel adjuster bars. Works great, and now I have a hot-rodded R12 system for those 110+ days...

Dunno what AH means, but I'm not entirely happy with the finish on the VC myself. The crinkle paint didn't like something in the metal around the fill cap, even though I cleaned it thoroughly. I tried to sand and repaint, but it was even worse: crinkle paint is fussy. Fuck it. Once that shit cures, it's like epoxy. Never notice at a buck-20. I do like the overall look with matching VC and intake, though.
