    Oil level sensor

Just gettin around to finishing up some projects on my e30. Looking at the oil pressure sensor I noticed it has a cable instead of a wire. The cable runs into the console. There is a connector unplugged tie wrapped just above it the sensor. Thanks in advance for any help. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hmm, that is strange. I'd love to see a picture. We were wrenching on my late model 'iS' yesterday and noticed the plastic wire connector has disintegrated like they tend to do. My buddy is going to hack a good connector off an M30 and graft it on to my working oil level sensor. Sure beats buying a new one for $250 bucks.

Here is a pic of the sensor. It’s hard to see,but directly behind the alternator. The lack wire is the zip tied and is not connected. The cable is the only thing attached to the sensor. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
