Help!! Swapped oil pan and now no sipstick hole

I have a 90 325i. I swapped the oil pan and just put my motor back in and now I don't have a dipstick hole. Mine was in the oil pan. I have looked at other i motors and theirs are in the block. I have a plug in my block where they have the dipstick. Can I just pull that plug out without pulling the oil pan???

The plug can be removed and a dipstick tube installed.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Will it come out like a freeze plug? Just hit it on the side so it twist and then pull it out with pliers? That is what I am going to try on Thursday if I don't hear anything back

Yep, just like a freeze plug.
