    Transmission Crossmember

Hey guys. I just got my engine dropped in last night but my transmission crossmember doesn't line up right. I was trying to use the one off my e30 (originally M42) it's close but no cigar. Are the M20 and M42 transmission brackets different? If so does anyone have an M20 mount laying around? ;)

    Thanks in advance!

I believe it's the m20 g260 brace that will work. I picked one up at the pick-n-pull here for about $15.

I didn't have any luck with the m20 bracket, I heard the e30 m3 bracket or e28 bracket will work so that's my next attempt.

If you use the 260/6 the stock m20 cross member will work.

          You have a 260 or 265 trans?

For a 265 you would want an M3 cross member.
