    Difference in Engine???

    Hello,

Im new to my swap and looking for the right engine.

Is there really a difference in swap procedure in the engine that comes out of a E28 then a E34?

E28 are much cheeper to buy then an e34... so would i really come into a problem?

Oil pan/pump needs to be out of e32/e34. I don't remember if the same goes for the intake manifold...

Manifolds are matched to the head, so if you are using an M30B34, get the manifold that says 3.2/3.5 and if you use the B35 get the manifold that says 3.5 on the side. They are pretty close to the same, but the 3.5 manifold has fatter runners, so it may be close to the booster (but I am not sure.) Anyhow, the early B35 has all the same mounting bolt holes, so you can use the same mounts as the B34, but if you have a late B35 you need different motor mounts. I'd go for an M30B34 since it is cheaper. There is not much more power for the expense of the later motor. What do you plan to run for injection?

          depends on the donor car.
you may have Motronic conflict. e34/e32 (b35) you will need oil pickup and pan.
          go b35.
