    m30 diff ideas...

    im ready for a lsd.... should i go with a 3.25 or a 373?

It depends on what u want out of it, i'd say 3.25 is better for a longer run / highway, and 3.73 is more "fun" , acceleration, and such.

3.73 would probably be your best bet then.

There is a guy in town running the 3.73 with an m30 and it pulls pretty hard. You will get better acceleration, which is great for autox. I would only suggest a 3.25 if you were driving on highways often, or if you were to turbo

My vote is the 3.25 for autox. The m30 has enough torque to make the 3.25 plenty fast, plus you get the ability to stay in 2nd longer. You would just be spinning with the 3.73 anyways.

i wanna do a lil drifting aswell, the 4.10 im running now its too hard to control it spins out way to fast. but im tied between the 3.73 or 3.25 i like that i can get just swap a 3.73 without swapping parts as for the 3.25 i gotta swap output flanges and diff cover. hummmm, oh how about a 3.46 outta a 635i is it the same deal as the 3.25? anyone autocrossing with either of these diffs?...what are u running e30spdfrk?

Swapping the parts really isn't bad at all- 5 minutes tops. The 3.46 would be a nice compromise between the 2, but they are a bit harder to find.

I am currently running a 3.25. I haven't been to an autocross yet with the m30 in the car, but I can tell you that this diff would be great for it. You can start out in second no problem and get up to about 60mph.

Should be the same as an e28, depending on the year.
