B35 Oil Pump Nut = Tack Weld ?

Just wondering if the stock M30B35 oil-pump's nut 'should' be tack welded ? In case it comes loose just like some of M50 horror stories.
Consider the oil pan still down.

I think there might be an updated part you can use so that they don't back off. You could do something like that I suppose, but for the sake of being able to remove it some day maybe try a lock tab of some sort.

Thanks for the quick response! I didn't know they have updated part (nut), but i did the updated new version hollow-bolts of the camshaft's sprayer bar.
I wonder if Loctite would survive ?

Would you happen to know if 14Hex nutM10X1107119900079 is the updated one?

I'm not entirely sure. Thinking about this though, I think I'm going to adapt an existing locktab or make one just for the application before I do my E28 B35 swap this summer.

I have never heard of this being an issue with the M30 family... If you mar the threads, that should more than suffice for a non-issue.
