    B35 on '87 eta wiring culprits ?

Got the motor installed, cranks up, but it won't fires up.

(It's B35 off of AT , 87 eta 5 speed) Both cars were running fine before swap.

All Spark plugs are 'dry' ( no fuel ? already swapped the fuel lines : inlet / outlet)

Here are the quick cell phone pictures (the wiring woes) below.

    Anyone knows what's the culprit?

Same as any other motor, check for spark and fuel. Does the fuel pump turn on? Do you have spark?

      kronus,

I only heard click 2x in the engine bay , when i turn the key on ( before crank).
But, i didn't hear " hummm" or " zeeee" noise from the fuel pump as usual.
Did i miss some Relay or Sensor ( see my quick picture above) ?

      And, No spark so far.

Check that the crank position sensor and the tach reference sensor aren't backwards. Both are the same plug and the engine won't run if they're switched.

AFAIK, the CPS is located right on the front crank pulley ( idk where it goes to, further up).
Which one is the Tach Reference Sensor ? Is it same as TPS ?

Btw, I'm using all B35 wiring in the engine bay, and still have 87 eta wiring from fuse box (C101 plug ?) inward.

I wonder if you have some pictures or link ? Thanks

The reference comes from one of the spark plug wires. Both the CPS and the reference signal connect to the harness towards the front of the injector plug cover thing on the valve cover side. Both are 3 pin plugs.

When you say you heard clicks from the engine bay, do you mean the starter was clicking and not turning the engine, or were they coming from somewhere else?

That Click - Click always there when i turn the key on ( both on dash or in engine bay) as i can feel the tap with my hand on the fuse box ( relays?)

The engine always cranks nicely, but it won't fires ( checked all spark plugs, are dry) .

The click sounds like the main relay going about its business- perfectly normal.

Check to make sure you have fuel and spark. Pull the fuel return line and turn the key on a few times and make sure fuel comes out. Then pull a spark wire while cranking the engine and check for spark.

                We'll go from there.

Do you have power 12v at green/violet wire on engine harness side? You must have a signal from that wire to get fuel.

After a few hours of Trials & Errors ....
See the picture with colored-circles above:

Blue : to + battery terminal @ firewall
                    Pinks: to - Ground
                    Brown: 5 prong Relay
                    Violet : 4 prong Relay

That was LOUD, it cranks & fires up !!

                    Thanks alot guys !

I guess... the rest of them (circles) are for Automatic car ?
Since i'm running 5 speed, but i will get to it if needed.
