    What clutch kit to order?

    I am using a 91 b35 engine with a 91 g260/6 e34 tranmission AND a 533 flywheel.

Would I want to use a e28 535i clutch kit or e34 535i clutch kit?

Someone has told me that e34 clutch kit won't work for me with this combination because of it's stack height?

I just need a confirmation before I order it, would hate to order something that isn't going to work for me.

    Thanks!

I have the same engine/trans setup with the exception of the flywheel, which is an e28 535i unit. I am running an e28 m5 clutch. It lined up perfect and worked great for the little time it has been in use.

I have almost the same combo, and I just kinda called Steve Haygood way back when and asked him. If I remember correctly he gave me an e28 kit, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I could swear it was though.

Unfortunately according to the guys at mye28 he's not doing business right now (personal issues I think) otherwise I would just suggest calling and asking him.

I was leaning towards the e34 535i kit as someone explained to me that with 260/6 tranny it's the kit to use, BUT then someone explained that the e34 535i kit wouldn't work and I need an e28 535i kit (like you suggested above)...

It depends on your flywheel. If you've double-mass, then you need E34 setup. With "normal" flywheel you need to use E28 setup.

Cool. Sucks that the e28 kit is the most expensive of the bunch...

Less, M5 clutch kit is over $400.
