    e28 535 radiator

    Hello guys,

I've got a question, I'm going to make a m30 swap in my 318 cabrio '91 and I've got a problem. e28 radiator doesn't fit in the engine compartment since afaik restyle e30 have different radiator support brackets. They are metal and welded to the body. So either I have to remove them and make some different support brackets at the bottom of radiator or I should install different radiator.
    Any ideas here?
Older 335i cabrio owners, how did you deal with the radiator?

Thanks in advance. Sorry for my English :)
And shout out from the whole Moscow e30 cabrio team ;)

        Yeah, in transliteration :)

I'm gonna try installing diesel fan clutch with engine in 3pos. according to 335i.de, so that is why I want to use e28 radiator.

Facelift E30's have radiator support brackets a bit higher than on pre-facelifts. Just cut them away and make new ones so you can fit decent-sized radiator in there.

Just an example picture of my cabrio with e28 535 radiator (a bit modified '87 cabrio):

Buy as big fan as you can fit in there, lots of different models available on every car parts shop.
                I've 14" if i remember correctly.

4.4L v8 vanos used in the obd2 540i / 740i cars, at abount 300hp. S62 is the one used in the m5 at around 400hp with ITB on all 8 cylinders.

Actually it's V8 engine out of 1993 year 5 series, not the newer M62. Bolted on the engine is 6 speed E39 M5 transmission and lightened flywheel, so something ///M there is ;)

OBD1 M60 then, probably much easier on wiring :)
