What tranny brace for E30 M30?

I read a few write ups that said the stock brace would work, but not even close for me.

The car is an 86 325e
The engine and tranny an 82 Euro 735i w/speed 5 speed

The mounts point down form the transmission

The transmission brace holes are angled and too far apart to fit.

What are you guys using, E30 M3 brace, E28 535 brace, something else?

    Thanks! -Dylan

Here's the quick and dirty version:

Getrag 260: Use a transmission bracket from an M20 powered E30
    Getrag 265: Use an E30 M3 bracket

If the mounting locations on the transmission point straight down then it is probably a G265.

      Thanks, that's what I figured...

Any idea if a 535is bracket would also work? I know that they shared alot of parts with the E30 M3, so maybe its close...

Well in my experience it wasn't even close and would take serious modification to retrofit. Although I hear the e24 g265 bracket will work with a little modification. I'm not sure of the details but there is a thread floating around this sections about it. It should come up if you search with the keyword "getrag 265". Good luck!
