BAV auto sells a 71c thermostat. That's the lowest I've heard of.

Why do you want it to run so cold? You know its not good for the engine right?

don't get too cold of a thermostat. The engine is designed to run at a certain temp. Getting a cooler thermostat will not eliminate the need for a cooling fan either.

so is the 71 too cold still? i knew its not good for the engine but didnt know how cold you can go. Someone told me he was running a 62c maybe its because he's turbo'd or i could have also misunderstood.

i just dont want to run into overheating problems and i will be running an electric fan.

I have a 71* C, it pegs it one tick cooler than the middle. That's as cool as I could want. I bled the air in the system and let it sit in a 90* garage for 40 minutes before it got over half. I sure as hell better not be having any more cooling issues at the track when its triple digits out.

The middle mark for me shows 200f
Just over the middle is 205/210

            The 1/4 mark is 188/190f.
Bearly out of the blue is 160f

So with an 80c thermostat for me it
leaves it at alittle over the 1/4 mark which
            is about 190f
