    85 635csi flywheel w/ 87+ e28 m5 clutch?

im about to order a clutch, but not sure if the m5 clutch will work out on my 635 flywheel. i know its best to use the 533/m5 flywheel with the m5 clutch. but could my regular 635 flywheel work?

reading around some more, i found someone say that all m30 flywheels have a 240mm friction area. meaning that i could use an m5 clutch.. i just need some more confirmation of some one who is running this same setup.

    thanks, Vic.

As long as it's not a dual mass flywheel, you should be good. I'm not sure if there's more than one M30 single mass flywheel (the 533i & M5 are the same ones)

mine is the 23lb flywheel or somewhere in that range. it doesnt look like its a dual mass.

anyways... i just bought a stage 2 clutch on ebay from occlutches. i know its cheap ebay, but ive been running a stage 2 ebay clutch in my m20i swap for a year now with no issues.. and push that m20i pretty hard errrday lol so im not worried about the quality.

wish i saw this earlier, yes any 535i, and m5 clutch kit will work.
You really should use the lighter flywheel....shameless plug, i have one for sale.
