Anything special to testing m30 starters?

I've heard from someone who had a number of m30 starters tested by local autozone/kragen place come false negative.

What's the proper way to test these? I want to make sure mine is good before engine is in the car.

          Not exactly.

Do not connect that terminal to ground, once the solenoid is engaged that terminal is +12, non fused.
