M30 Cold Start Valve

This is kind of a random question but have any of you guys ran without the cold start injector? Mine is on its last legs and I was thinking of just eliminating it all together if possible. I tested the valve and the spray is pretty weak. The Bentley is saying that if the injector is not functioning that it can keep the engine from starting but I was wondering if anyone had any experience removing it all together.

I did this on my m10 and it made cold morning starts difficult. My m30 doesn't have a cold start valve though

Mine did and I couldn't run it WITH the valve. It would flood.

Are you running motronic 1.3? AFAIK m1.3 had no provision for a separate cold start valve.

Nah, I'm running an old B34 on Motronic 1.0. I guess you can pick up a new one for $40 from Pelican so I may go that route. I was just curious how integral to the process the injector really was.

I disconnected mine, ran fine with no problems.

mine is no longer connected since i upgraded to 1.3 havent had a real cold mornin g yet tho. Otherwise things are as normal
