    M30 Swap Trans questions

any issue using a 1985 535i 265 tranny? Or is it better to use the 260 6/??

Any opinions on which tranny is best for the swap, and if anyone has one for sale?? Hint hint, I got cash.

From what I read, many have mentioned 260/6 to be stronger of the two. But, the 265 would make the install/removal easier if it has the removable bellhousing. 265 will also dictate a different lower mount and driveshaft.

I believe there are a couple 260/6 5speeds for sale here on the forum.

        Good,

What driveshaft did you use? Custom?

        Thanks

His tailshaft is heavily shortened because of the g265 and the fact that he has placed the m30 as far back as possible.
