For example S50 crankshaft weights 5kg more than M50 crank..- E34 M5 (x 2) -

I'd like to drive a moderately-built sample of both configurations to compare. I'd love to have legendary M30 torque, but I love the M50 look. As it is now, I rarely open my hood, (greasy M20, sweet!) so driving fun means more than sitting around looking at my engine. Of course, if I had a clean M50 stuffed into the car, maybe I'd fix that annoying hood which won't stay up without aid of a stick. :D"I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death."
