m30 swap question?

im inspecting the m30 harness and it seems like it will not work as well as the m20 one. i tried the m20 harness and got fuel but no spark. so took that harness out and now looking at the m30 harness but some things do not match up like the plugs going in to the fuse box. or some of the clip sensors right off the computer were it all goes in to the ecu.
any advice or input would be helpful thank you

2 things.

1 - can you be a little more specific on why it seems for you that the harness that is NATIVE to the engine in question won't work? You didn't even mention the chassis you are installing it in... (hint - details)

2. - once again can you make your thread titles more accurate? (yep - details).

details, details, details. There is only so much we can help you with when you only give us vague descriptions. It's like shooting in the dark here.

- the big round plug does not match up with the chassis side?
- all you need on the ecu side of the harness are 2 relays (main and fuel pump) and the ecu hooked up. The others are for an auto trans. Of course the power and ground wires go without saying.
