Ok, here's the story:
i bought a M30 swapped car with a B34 in it. It was supposed to have a cracked block, and i never verified.
I picked up a free B35 in good running condition. I pulled it apart and started resealing everything on it to get it ready to go in. When I pulled the B34 I noticed it was leaking from a freeze plug.
So now I am going to install the B35 in the car, but I want a lighter flywheel. The B34 had a E28 535 with a magnetic pick up on it. I can buy a UUC E34 M5 flywheel that is 11 lbs for cheap, but I'll need to either drill and install a pin in the flywheel, or convert to the front CPS. Can I retrofit the front CPS to be functional with the B34 electronics, or will i need to pin the flywheel?
Or would I be better off shaving the E28 535 wheel down from 22 lbs to around 17?
