    324td Fan

I have a question regarding the 324td fan. I understand that it's a larger diameter, yet skinnier to achieve that little bit extra clearance from the radiator. The fan itself new is about $60, but my question to those of you using the 324td fan, is did you also have to buy the 324td fan clutch with it or were you able to use a different fan clutch? I ask because the fan clutch is about $190.

There's got to be a few m30 swapists running a viscous 324td fan...

Cross referenced part numbers, and it seems to be a diesel specific thing :(

m41, m21, and m51 all use the same fan clutch.

Right, I did the same thing and unfortunately it's looking to be that buying a new 324td fan clutch is my only option to fit the fan itself. Did you 324td vicsous fan users have to all buy new (or used which would be hard to find) fan clutches and fans?
