    M10 C101 to M30b34 C101

So after using some helpful information from NoScoE30 and Jean, I put together this list of pinouts for my M10 c101 connector and my m30b34 connector. Both are rectangular. Some of these are obvious to match up, but I've got a few questions about what goes where. My car doesn't have check control and I have no interest in retrofitting it, for the pins on the m30b34 c101 connector that lead to the check control, can I just leave those unconnected? Anybody want to take this into photoshop and draw arrows about which goes where?

My plan is to keep the M10 c101 connector and take the wires from the m30 c101 and insert them into a new plug housing for the M10 c101 connector. I'm not converting to the round style c101 like most, i'm keeping rectangular.

You can ignore the oil level wires yes. I did the same in my swap (no check panel), they don't do anything that affects the performance or running of the engine.

You should call the right side an E28 C101 :) It wouldn't make sense for you to convert the chassis side to round since your engine harness is an e28 kind, I converted mine since I am using an e32/e34 harness and only needed to convert one side.

Don't forget about the check engine light (if you plan on getting this car through BAR), tach and mpg (if you care) wires that need to be run individually to inside the car as well.

      Thanks for the advice! :)
Actually since the engine is from an '86, I don't have to have a "check engine" light ran so that saves a bit of trouble.

So going by what you said I've started to see which pin matches which. I crossed off the two oil sensor pins for the check control, then I started matching up the obvious ones. I need help with the last few though.

So I can assume the m30 #7 matches up with the M10 #7 since the m30 #7 says it comes from the fuel pump relay, correct?

Then For the last few, I can kind of see which go where just by matching the color wires but I want confirmation before blindly connecting anything judging by the color of a wire.

The m10 #6 looks like it matches up with the m30 #6 by the green/yellow color. I can't really tell going by the description of that the m30 #6 controls if it matches up with the m10 #6 though. Does it?

Then the m30 #10 says it goes to diagnostic pin #6. If I could find anywhere what diagnostic pin 6 controlled then it would make a little sense. I've looked everywhere throughout factory electric manuals and pin 6 isn't used on any of them.

Then the m30 #12 looks like it should match up with the m10 #10 judging by color but is that correct?

Then just by common sense, did I match up the rest of them correctly (everything i've drawn lines to were the ones I could easily see were the same).

      Everyone's help is greatly appreciated.
