Almost ready! No spark, no fuel. Help!

Finally got my swap physically done, but I cannot get the thing to start! I was pretty confident I had all of the wiring right, but obviously something isn't. I get no power to the coil and the fuel pump won't come on with the key. I jumped the fuel pump relay and the pump comes on, but I'm only getting power to terminal 30 on the fuel pump relay and not at 86, which is what comes from the ignition switch if I'm understanding correctly. I have power at both 30 and 86 on the main relay. I've tested the the ecu as per the bentley, all my grounds through the ecu are good. But I'm wondering about terminal 85 on the relays, is that supposed to be ground? Where should I begin? Thanks..

I know this is very common yet simple mistake, your CPS and ignition lead wire are in their correct spots yes?

Aren't those the ones that connect at the side of the injector wiring box? They'll only plug in one way. I am completely at a loss now, even if I ground terminal 85 at the bottom of the relay connecter I get nothing. The ICV makes noise but still no power at the coil and nothing from the fuel pump.

They can be crossed over though, and then it won't start. Does it crank?

Still no luck.. I am getting power at terminal 30 and 86 on the main relay, and power at 30 on the fuel pump relay, but neither relay does anything with the key. I put ground to terminal 85 on the main relay and the ICV made noise but still no power to the coil and no fuel pump. I'm thinking it has to be a ground issue, but I don't know where to look. My engine block groud is bolted to my header and to the stud on the passenger frame rail.. Is this good enough or should I relocate it? I suppose it could be a problem with the ignition switch, but the car turns over so I doubt its just certain terminals that are damaged. So frustrated...

Trace back the green coil wire to the c101 and make sure you are getting power on the chassis side if not keep working your way back. I believe you may have wired something incorrectly there.

He is using a later version of the b35 harness with 25pins.

I have a ground on the driver side from the block to the stud on the frame rail, it works fine.

You did try another main relay already?

Yeah I've been trying to find a good e30 wiring diagram to trace a few wires on the body side, anyone have one?

No I'm getting another main relay tomorrow, I'm off work so I'll be able to mess with the car all day. Shouldn't I have ground at the brown wire on the relay connector for it to work though?

This one should have everything you need.

Yes, m30 engine harness has two grounds that need to be connected...they are near the ignition coil ends.

Yeah I have those grounds connected to the strut tower, they don't have to be seperate like they were on the e34 do they? I have them stacked, didn't think it mattered

                          Shouldn't matter at all.

the fuel pump on my e30 only runs when the engine is cranking. i just was messing with my injectors. of coarse that is on a 1984 325es running the original electronics.

I thought it would run to pressurize the fuel rail in the on position, but I might be wrong. So should I have ground at the brown wire on the back of the relay or not?
