    Another m30 swapper

I'm finally getting around to doing my m30 swap. I have the m20 out the car just need to get a couple more parts and then I can drop in the m30. I'm having trouble finding a radiator in good condition around RI. I will post some pics of the progress soon.

Does the m20 tps and ICV work with the m30?

you need an m10/m30 manual 3 pin tps (same part number), or m30 auto tps (from e32/e34 cars) if your harness is auto. ICV is 509.

Pulled everything out today, should have it back at my house tomorrow night or if you want to drive to Narragansett tomorrow afternoon I can load it right into a truck easy. The ICV and TPS will be included, too.

Well I finally got it running just need to get a few parts to finish it up. Ill post some pictures and a video as soon as I get it all buttoned up. I got a couple of questions though. First is it a bad idea to use a radiator hose as a vacuum line for the brake booster? Also what size exhaust would you recommend for a single exhaust?

As long as the hose doesn't compress too much when you squeeze it with your fingers it should be fine. Or start the engine and look at it and make sure it's not collapsing.

I tried a few exhaust setups on mine and I liked the single 2.5" best. 2.25" was slow up top and 3" had no torque down low.

Alright so I got everything sorted in the engine bay now I just need some help with exhaust. I want something that sounds clean and not too loud. I was looking at stromung and remus. I was wondering if the e30 catback would be too restrictive for the m30? Also is it bad to have a 2 into 1 and then a 1 back into 2? I was looking for a universal muffler from stromung or remus, but didn't seem to find one if anyone knows where I could pick one up let me know.

I had a stock e30 325i exhaust on there and you couldn't hear anything other than the engine itself from the front of the car..

I would just go 2 into 1 after the cat all the way. Pick up a muffler of your choice and/or add resonator if it's too loud.

Stock size pipes for the b35 are dual 2" so a single 2.5" will do fine.

Alright so my cam seal is leaking oil out of my distributor. Does anyone know the part number on the seal for a m30b35? I tried to find it on real oem but I can't figure out which part it is.

Also does anyone know where to get a remus universal 2.5" muffler?
