AFM "repair" - has anyone done it?

specifically to get rid of any dead spots in the powerband.

Yes I have done it before, and the car definitely felt more responsive as the carbon track on my AFM was worn in the first ~1/3 of the sweep. Free fix which can only make an old AFM work better.

There's a guy here named Greg who refurbishes them well.

I sent mine off to Gregs///M for a refurb. Haven't fired up the motor yet to report on the results, but the transaction was smooth and easy.

              I miss the old BMW
