Trying to diagnose my shitty idle. I think I may have either a faulty or incorrect p/n temp sensor. I've heard conflicting info on which ones should be kept from the m30, which should be swapped out for m20 units, etc. The brown sensor has 1 pin, the blue has 2. Which is the sender for the dash and which is for the ECU? Whichever one is for the ECU, I assume I should use the m30 piece? Or is it the m20? Again, i've heard conflicting stuff and my research so far has left me with no clear answers.

m30 for the ecu (closest to the head IIRC) -

OK. Looks like I need to try a new blue sensor then. p/n seems to be 13 62 1 709 966. It's used on tons of cars, including 325e and 318 cars as well as lots of 5s and 7s. For future reference, anyone needing this part check this link: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...39%32%29%20%20Comment
