    Which oil filter housing?

Does it matter what oil filter housing you use? I have one that is like this- http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...6&postcount=12 , and another one that is opposite, the bowl/filter is on the bottom.

I don't think it matters. Although the one pictured is quote a bit easier to access. So go with that one. Mine is the other kind and is covered up by a bunch of wiring/coolant hoses in the engine bay.

IIRC the difference is between b34 and b35, but I'm not sure about that.

Yea. I think e30.de says you can use the m3 housing and cooler as well.

someone sells a spin on adapter that uses a standard filter. Don't remember who though.
