    '84 325e to M30 Q's

SO, I got this '84 eta (build 02/84). I was going to do an e to i build with s-eta pistons and the works. Then I came upon a 1986 535i. Being an e28 fan (I also have a 1985 535i) I love the M30 and decided it would be a good idea to throw the M30B34 into the 325e, and possibly turbo it. I've got everything in the works as we speak, but can't for the life of me find info on the wiring in the early e30 M20. Everywhere I looked people were using later model e30s.

My first question is would it be easier to swap the complete engine wiring harness from the e28 to the e30, or can I mod the eta harness to suit?

I'm looking at possibly chipping it and maybe, just maybe, finally getting a turboed M30 rolling in my neighborhood. I'd like to get the car running and squared away, then convert to Megasquirt in the end, and after that go for the forced induction.

I've read many a build thread and many sites that had links provided. I'm fairly sure on everything, except the wiring, early wiring, that is.

    TIA!!

Search again, there are a few early cars here on the forum with this swap. Easy stuff.

It has been done, search. You will definitely need to use the engine harness and DME from the 535.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
