    M30 swap help & Q's

ok so ive had my e30 for a bit under a year ..i love it..but the m20 is leaving a bit to be desired as far as my tastes are concerned so im set on a swap. im leaning on the m30 side right now but a M50 is not out of the question. I am well aware of many pros and cons of both just kinda wanting second and 3rd opinions of both. ill probably be sourcing part and my goal is to be finished by end of spring this next year. with that being said are there any people in the bay who have any direct experience with m30 swaps
?? thanks for the info guys..

I'm doing my swap right now and currently I'm in the bay area. I'm not by any means an expert but if you have questions.....

Yeah ive read your current swap thread good stuff in there seems like its a bit of trouble if you dont have a great idea of what you are getting into and refreshing seems to be a bit of a pain if you are not prepared for lifes little...erm surprises lol so actually i am using your experience to kinda gauge what i purchase and what i should prepare for...

I am doing this swap also and Im about 90% finished with it, now as fas as money spent on the swap depends on how u go with it ,"JUNKYARDS" are your friend, went this route plenty of times and couldn't be more happier saved me alot or money compared to the dealership i'd say my swap cost me a lil more than $4k but thats also including high performance parts so im pretty sure u can do this swap for less than $3k hope this helps nd good luck

ok thanks and 3k was about what i was thinking.... however one reoccurring factor that seems to be somewhat of a gremlin are overheating problems. and to make it worse they seem to be hard to track down.....any feedback on if this is true? or is it just relative to the engine? b/c i want to be able to feel comfy to run it down to socal if need be and not have to be praying the entire way down.. lol
