I am doing a S38 swap into my E30. I have a M5 booster but I am tight in room and thinking of the idea of using a hydro boost system from an M30 powered E24 or E28. Has anybody used this type of brake booster swap? I was thinking this could be a good option due to space savings.

It may save a little bit of space, but you're adding a big valve block, more hoses, accumulator (nicknamed "brake bomb", go figure), and creating a messier engine bay. I'd recommend an alternative OEM booster. -

E21 booster fits and clears, but may require remote mounting the fluid reservoir. This is the best plan IMO.Comment

Any idea of the size difference between a E34 M5 booster and an E21 booster? How is the performance difference? I have the E34 M5 and it looks like its a tight fight and would involve me removing the S38 Intake plenum which I would rather not do. What about those dual cylinder brakes without a booster, I believe somebody on here made them, can't seem to find the link. Any good?www.eurowinnipeg.com
