so a buddy of mine is finishing up an m30 swapped e30 and is currently in search of a new flywheel because the refrence is broken. i think i have all the parts laying around to just go ahead and swap to late motronic and i was wondering if that would be simpler...

You will have to fab up a bracket to position the crank angle sensor at the front of the engine. I don't think the b34's have the tapped holes like the b35's.
But other than that, the harness would be much easier to change over rather than the hassle of taking the engine and gearbox out again.///Monstrosity. (OO≡≡[][]≡≡OO)

They don't. I used the B34 mount and shimmed it up with washers/spacers until the sensor was ~1mm off the balancer. Works great, but now I going B35 in the e28 so it doesn't matter.Originally posted by Doughnut View Post1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment
