so a buddy of mine is finishing up an m30 swapped e30 and is currently in search of a new flywheel because the refrence is broken. i think i have all the parts laying around to just go ahead and swap to late motronic and i was wondering if that would be simpler...

i would definitely put the late model motronic. it runs off the crank sensor rather than flywheel. rarely fails and is easier to adapt after market engine management. the flywheel reference fails quite often; definitely will leave your car immobile :(?

You will have to fab up a bracket to position the crank angle sensor at the front of the engine. I don't think the b34's have the tapped holes like the b35's.
But other than that, the harness would be much easier to change over rather than the hassle of taking the engine and gearbox out again.///Monstrosity. (OO≡≡[][]≡≡OO)
