    M30 Engine holder

    Hi,

    how do you fit the M30 engine in the E30 body?
    Im looking for a technical drawing or something like this.
    i think a plug and play solution doesnt exist ?!

          i know the way to fit the engine in.
          i want to know, what about the dimensions for the engine mounts.
          in another thread is an deleted upload-file, from a blueprint.

            Oh, you want the tech drawing on how to make the engine brackets themselves.

            To my knowledge there isn't one - otherwise it would be to easy for the noobs.

            IMO put the motor in the bay and fab up your own from scratch, it's what a lot of us have had to do ourselves and it's really not that hard.

                If you are able to make mounts from blueprints, you should be able to dangle the motor in the bay and take the measurements yourself. To my knowledge, no publicly-available blueprints for M30 mounts exist.

                  Just throw the motor in there and mock it up with cardboard. Transfer that to steel, cut, weld, repeat. Make sure you leave clearance for the oil dipstick tube. They're quite simple to put together if you have some fab skillz. I was just lazy and got a screaming deal on mine.
