Is there an easy way to benchtest an ecu

I have a couple ecu's laying around from unknown sources, and the 179 I want to use was definitely wet when I pulled it from the donor. I've since pulled it apart, dried it, and sprayed it down with circuit board cleaner.

without plugging them into my car and seeing if things run right, is there a way to benchtest a motronic ecu? OR do any of the tuner guys like miller performance have the setup to test an ecu for a nominal fee?

Man, that would take a lot of inputs and outputs. Nothing comes to mind.

I've can run a m20 ecu on my m30 (3 row of pins) - it runs ruff, but it works. Maybe do the same?

Make friends with someone with the car that the ecu fits and try it on their car.
