hey i'm a newb at doing this swap thing so here i go.... i have a 87 325is and i want to do the big six swap... i know that i can use my m20 stock harness but i don't know what radiators i can use and i know the m20 trans is different than the m30 but can i just swich the bell housing and how much should i spend on a m30 motor with a bad head gasket? its out of a 90 735i and it has a auto trans ...... i just want to know step by step on how to do this and a parts list on what i need thanks for the help

there are plenty of threads that answer these questions if you search, but...
-e28 535i radiator will be the only one that will fit
-bellhousings cannot be removed unless it is a getrag 265, in which case it wouldn't need to be

It's one of the most simply conversions you can do with an E30, for more info check www.e30.de for a complete breakdown with all the options.
For your transmission you'll need either an E28, E32, E34 manual for which you can alos use the 3.0lt version. Another option (but doubt you have them in the states) is the M10 gearbox.
The tropical aircon E30 rad works well if you've got the engine back far enough. I started out using the original E30 325 rad which kept the temps just right and now have an E34 535 rad fitted.
If your in P1 or 2 then you'll need the E28 535 rad.Charlie
