    Getting the rev counter working

I have completed my m30 conversion and the rev counter is not working. I had a look at various forums and there is nothing covering it.

Are these supposed to work straight away? without the need to swop wires?

Are my SI batteries gone? The temp and fuel gauges still work.

    Car is a 89 325, and the conversion came out a 88 e34 535.

It should work without any modding.
I think your problem is somewhere else.
