Great tips, Otis! I plan on setting my valves to your spec as well.

You should convert to a wasted spark setup, as well. It's about $100 for everything if you use the DIYAutotune kit, and then another 30-40 or so for the wires I think.

This is Ryan, Justin's brother - not sure if we've met or not.

Cam is in shipping to me from Ireland Engineering - its a little more lift and a little less duration than a schrick 284. Nothing but positive things to say about IE, so far.

The boys at Moosehead Engineering should be lending me their o-ringing tool as soon as they get back to me - Tyler is thinking of o-ringing his M52 as well while it's here. I'll probably try to get people together to pull the head this weekend. The actual work seems straightforward to install the new rockers and cam, then of course the valves have to be adjusted into spec and I have to remember to leave a 0.005 clearance between the rockers and rocker locks to account for thermal expansion.

I'll probably have to totally re-tune my maps since it will be sucking a lot more air everywhere, so I'm going to richen things up 10-15% and let VE analyze live pull the values back down.

I think that's about the totality of the update - not this weekend but next is the earliest she could drive. Would be great to have it running for thanksgiving.

Turns out my timing chain fell apart and the head is done - new B35 head on its way to me now. Thanks, master link. Special assist goes to whoever installed it a few years back when we rebuilt the engine.

Ouch indeed. I'm hoping I can track down the cam removal tool this week - I tried to remove them with C-clamps on the rockers but I couldn't get adequate lift to clear the bearings.
