    84 325e m30b35 swap assistance needed

Alright, I tried searching for 10 or so minutes but gave up.

    I have a '90 535i manual(m5 clutch/flywheel) that I crashed..

    I just bought a '84 325e. What do I need to get?

    -Motor mounts
    -e28 radiator

    What exhaust?

What drive shaft do I need? e30 m3? Can I use something else cheaper?

Would the e34 harness be the best to use?

I will buy a write up if there is one for my exact situation, next Friday.

This will be a DD.. Eventually with a turbo.

We just completed the conversion in under 5 weeks and that's with rebuilding the motor. Ours was a b34 engine so it's a little harder then the b35 from what Franks write-up indicated. We did position 3 so some serious firewall removal was required. I think position 2 will fit within the allocated space. The biggest issue was getting our drive shaft shortened. We had to remove 2 3/4" from the front section. Our e30 is a 86 with the big rubber donut at that trans. I think yours will be the small one so get a 86 + and it should bolt right up. The center bearing has about 1.5" of adjustment along with the spline joint.

Get Franks manual first and then prep your engine for the install.
