    no tach in cluster

89 325i, supereta harness, 86 535i motor. I have tach on my Megasquirt, just no tach on my cluster. Where does the e30 get it's tach signal? I remember there being a black wire pin 9 from C101 that goes to the ECU for the tach or something like that for the ECU? Does it go strait to the back of the cluster or is there an intermediate connector somewhere? Is that the only wire for the tach?

Basically, how does my megasquirt have a tach reading but not my cluster? Cluster worked fine before the motor swap.

    Nevermind this. Got it working.

I toomk the car out for a spin tonight at 9PSI boost. Holy shit what a blast to drive. Sent a log of the MS to Peter Florance for some tweaking of the tune. Can't wait to fix the low exhaust and drive this sumabitch. I can't stop grinning from ear to ear.

P.S. With Qbang's motor mounts, swapping the output flange from the M20 trans to my M30 trans, I was able to use the stock 89 325i driveshaft with no problems. No vibrations from the car at 55 MPH. I should eventually shorten the shift linkage about an inch and a half but not 100% necessary. It shifted fine thru all the gears.
