    Car wont start. Maybe starter

Drove the car yesterday and everything was in order. Went to start it this morning and all I get its a ticking starter.
    • The battery is good.
    • 12v at starter.
    • IVC buzzes
    • tach reads 300 and drops to 0 after every click from starter
    • mpg gauge moves in key start position

I think its the starter but Id like to be sure before I take it out. Thanks for the input.

        Grounds

What about grounds, check the grounds going to the block. Seen that happen before?

starter is good but still not turning over in car. basically 0 ohms from top of intake manifold and starter motor housing to top of strut tower. the instrument panel has been acting weird. Its dim sometimes then when you go to start the car on first and second click then it will go dark in start position then when you bring it back to second click position it will be bright. Im thinking a bad ground/short somewhere

turns out it was the battery. was showing 12.3 and wouldnt work even with the charger. must have been an internal problem because it fired right up with a new battery
