A cone filter is all you need...

        Same here.
I put on a new cone filter and WOW.
maybe my old one was really dirty but I beat an sti today.

Faster then no filter at all. Kinda crazy.

          What are you talking about?
Are you saying you noticed more power with a cone filter vs stock air box??
I'm not sure whos being serious in this thread and whos not?

But i doubt a m30 swap with stock engine could pull on an sti. It has almost 100hp on an m30. The e30 sure doesn't weigh 1000lbs less.

It's really more like 70hp, and a quick googlin' suggests an STi is like 3400lbs. I don't see it being that much of a mismatch to be honest

best to turbo the m30 to be safe though

I'm not serious, I detest cone filters.

However I actually do have one on my car ATM, I couldn't make the stock airbox fit with my engine position and A/C lines.

                  My setup:

Ps. I haven't raced an STi, I don't street race.

                  STi > e30 m30b35 anyway.

It's just your basic run of the mill m30 swap really.

With a fancy racer boi style air intake system haha.
