I got my car weight from when alignment was done.
Left Front = 767
Right Front = 610
Left Rear = 603
Right Rear = 635
Total = 2615
Front = 1377
Rear = 1238
Front/rear weight distribution:
1377/2615 = 52.7% front
1238/2615 = 47.3% rear
Specs:
1991 325i with M30B35 swap, funk mounts position "2.5"
150 lbs in drivers seat
1/2 tank of gas
Spare tire, jack, tools, everything in car.
Complete, functioning R134 converted AC system.
Power steering.
Standard options, only thing I can think of that might add weight vs standard stuff is the electric sunroof and leather sport seats, and most of the interior dyed red.
Only other thing worth mentioning that woud affect weight is no washer tank and airbag delete, BUT remote lock/unlock installed which could add small amount of weight.
15" Hartge wheels with 205/55/15 size tires.
Vogtland springs (225F/360R), Bilstein shocks.
Not bad, from what I can find the stock 325i in standard configuration is 52/48. (anyone have reliable info on this?)
I'm very surprised at the total weight being so low given the above specs.
By deleting AC:
I have seen weights posted around the web from 30-50 lbs for the full AC system, i'll use 30 lbs for this example as a conservative estimate.
Total weight = 2585
1347/2585 = 52.1% front
1238/2585 = 47.9% rear
This isin't a perfectly accurate example, but I believe it's pretty accurate to subtract the whole 30lbs from the front since the whole system is either above or in front of the front wheels. There could be an insignificantly small amount transferred to the rear wheels.
I recall Jean posting his weight several times as 2500 lbs. I don't know if that includes driver weight or what the gas level was, but if it doesn't include driver, I would be questioning the both of our weights because his SHOULD be without a doubt less than mine since it's both an early model with less sound deadening AND doesn't have AC (and possibly more differences to make it lighter than mine?)
