Just wrecked my E39

I wrecked my E39 on wednesday and they totaled it out. There are parts on it that I want but the engine isn't one of them. What does the M52 go for? I see the swaps but I don't really see any listings, for reference it is 130K with maint records. I can't see swapping it myself, but I won't buy the thing back if the engine isn't saleable; you know?

what year M52? is it single or dual vanos ive seen them sell from 500-1500 just depends on the buyer i guess. GL
